Some women tell me, “I am ‘just’ a helper.” To this, I reply that they are “caregivers” and “household managers”— because in many homes, they really are entrusted by families with that role.
So when the 環境運動委員會 Environmental Campaign Committee invited me to do a series of PSAs directed towards eco-friendly initiatives for housekeepers, I asked if I had a chance to suggest changes in some areas.
You’ll find that in the opening video, I DO get to use the term “Household Managers.” Simple. Empowering. And yes, changes to labels can be done.
